Unaffiliated Explained

The name of the website stems from when the creator of this website was a senior in high school in 1990, filling out his voter registration form. He grew up in a very Republican family and was very pro-Reagan, but somehow knew that the party was not benefitting the people it swore to represent. He also knew that the Democratic Party was just weak and ineffective so he didn’t want to associate with them. He noticed the box that read, “Unaffiliated” and thought, that’s what all should really be.

Unaffiliated Educates

Our goal here at Unaffiliated is to enhance literacy and understanding in every context. To provide a reliable resource for people to access real information and dispute propaganda. Our first priority was to create an educational resource for students, teachers, and anyone that didn’t get the education they needed while they were in high school.

There are way too many people that bad-mouth their education, but don’t actually look for the truth, they live in their own truth, they live in their own little bubble. We aim to Identify and create reliable sources of information, promote literacy and understanding, create or assist organizations that improve the evolution of cohesive society.

​We will have educational resources in every content area you should have studied in high school. We will start with American Government, Economics, and US History because it is painfully obvious that not enough of us truly learned what we were supposed to learn when we were supposed to learn it. Other content will be added as we see its importance in societal discussion or as the content comes to us.

Unaffiliated Explained

One of the topics we would like to address immediately are the influences and outright propaganda that the corporate (legacy) media has perpetrated for decades and the emergence of social media “influencers” that have merely reinforced and magnified the propaganda. As we grow we will look to obtain tax-exempt, non-profit status before we are profitable, as it is our goal to contribute all profits to charitable endeavors. We will also look to begin a Political Action Committee to unite all individuals that are unaffiliated and/or disgruntled with the current political organizations/parties.
